Final Research Project

The final in Freshman Research Seminar is a presentation on a large research project addressing health issues for young people in the Benson area. Parents and guardians, you are invited to attend your child's final presentation. The presentations will be scheduled for an hour during their regular class time (3rd block 9:40-11:09, 4th block 11:15-11:59 or 11:34-1:16, 5th block 1:32-2:50). Presentations will be conducted on Thursday, December 9th.

Also, if you or someone you know has a career, personal, or volunteer experience that would pertain to our final presentation, please contact us if they would like to be a guest speaker for our students during the 2nd half of November. Past presenters have included nurses, YMCA instructors, patients who've had gastric bypass surgery, a member of Activate Omaha, and others.

Introduction

Welcome to Freshman Research Seminar!

Throughout our course, you will build your collaboration skills, learn how to research, develop presentation skills, and be introduced to Decision Science. We do a lot of projects in our class, so it is very important to be here every day. If you are absent, this blog will provide an update of what we did in class. When we are working on group projects, this blog will also give you and your classmates a space to communicate and keep track of things.
